My Style & Approach

My approach to therapy is eclectic and integrative. I believe each person is unique, so there’s no single “best” way to support everyone. I draw from a range of modalities, methods, and interventions to create a personalized therapeutic experience tailored to your needs and goals.

In therapy, we may use Narrative Therapy to explore stories that keep you stuck, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand your parts and patterns, or Emotionally Focused Therapy to connect with your inner experience. Mindfulness practices informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can support self-awareness, stress management, and clarify your values, meaning, and purpose. Together, we’ll choose the approaches that best fit your unique needs.

At the same time, my work is integrative and non-pathologizing, meaning I see you as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit—not a set of symptoms. I look at how your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, history, and physical well‑being intersect to shape your inner world. Together, we can understand your story with compassion and explore what's possible for your healing and future. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship and supporting change that is deep, lasting, and meaningful—emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

I use curiosity and creative questioning to help you step away from overthinking, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and problem stories tied to perfectionism, people-pleasing, insecurity, or unhelpful guilt and shame. In a safe, non-judgmental space, I guide mindful self-reflection and emotional regulation while supporting you in re-authoring your life story, focusing on your strengths, values, and future aspirations.

  • I live in the Durham Region with my partner and our two rabbits, Luna and Zeke. I lean into a spiritually connected and mindful life, practice meditation and work to expand my intuitive wisdom through tarot cards, reading, and reflection. Movement and exercise are essential components of my daily routine, and I practice veganism for ethical and environmental reasons. I cherish connection and enjoy spending quality time with friends and family. I enjoy hikes in the forest, listening to vinyl records, riding motorcycles, paddleboarding, and expressing my creativity through macrame.

The mind is like the sky; thoughts are like clouds.

They come and go, and we can choose to observe them without getting carried away.

Services

Services are offered in-person or virtual (telephone or secure video).

Meet and Greet Session

Free for 15-30 minutes

This session allows you to share details about your goals and elaborate on any challenges you might be facing. You can learn a bit more about me and my style of therapy, and get a sense of what it would be like to work together. The most important piece is that you leave knowing whether or not you feel comfortable and think I am a good fit for you.

Psychotherapy Services

$160 for 60 minutes | $240 for 90 minutes

I offer a safe space that is accepting and non-judgemental so that you can honestly connect with your lived experience, get curious about presenting issues and challenges, increase self-awareness and work towards meaningful change. We will work together to develop treatment strategies and plan an approach that is unique to you; focusing our efforts on your stated goals and preferred identity.

Insurance Coverage
